Cardiff has three main shopping centres, a number of markets and is home to the world’s oldest record shop “Spillers Records” which allows for a wide variety of shopping in Cardiff.

If you’re looking to do some shopping in Cardiff you’re in luck as all the main shopping centres are within walking distance of each other. There are also numerous arcades and alleys that house smaller more specialist shops in and around the area.

St. David’s Shopping Centre

Currently has 75 shops but is under construction to add a further 100. Lying right in the heart of Cardiff City Centre, St. David’s Shopping Centre is easy to reach by bus, train or car.

Queens Arcade

Queens Arcade is set on two floors and has an entrance on Queens Street, as does St. David’s Shopping Centre and is just a couple minutes walk from Cardiff Castle. Queens Arcade

Capitol Centre

Capitol Centre has 36 stores and is spread out over two floors. It also has parking spaces for up to 420 cars.

Cardiff Market

Cardiff MarketCardiff Market is indoors and consists of two shopping levels. The market itself is described as a “food-lovers paradise” where you’ll be able to find “something delicious to take your fancy”. But it’s not just food that’s on offer they also have stalls for household goods, jewellery and even a selection of pets.

It’s once again within walking distance of the other three main shopping centres.
